It seems that sometimes lawmaker’s make the laws which could do harm in a time of emergency for a family in need. When you need money– you need money and you would not think there would be so many limits to cash in a time of need. These regulations have taken place in states such as Oklahoma, Kansas, West Virginia, and Georgia. In these states you are not allowed to obtain an online payday loan. The silly thing is that you can get it in person but not online in some states.
Oklahoma is the kingdom to the Casinos and gambling but someone is not allowed to apply for a payday loan online? Why not take a responsible step and outlaw gambling first or regulate the amount of interest a payday loan can charge.
In Oklahoma, it makes no sense at all. You drive down the street and see pawn show after pawn shop soliciting to those who seek cash on the go. Almost every Taco Bell or Wendy’s has turned into a Cash Advance store in Oklahoma City. With all of these brick and mortar stores you cannot apply online for some reason? Especially with all the research you can do online with regards to fees and rates it is a feeling of many that everything should be done with the internet.
Georgia goes as far as putting up an online statement. If you want Georgia’s take of the payday loan establishment then you can read more about it on the Georgia.gov site.
Where can you go to get a loan if you live in these states that have banned payday loans? I would highly recommend a personal loan or a credit card which should always be considered first.
